THE REEFTON DEADLOCK.
MATTERS BECOMING WORSE. (F-Ul ASSOCIATION *n*LEOR-M.) REEFTON; June 11. Proceedings in the mining dispute are getting worse. Tho Citizens' Committee met last night, and resolved to ask. the Hon. J. Colvin to offer his services to both sides with a view of returning to' the status quo in October last. The "discussion" of the question as to the opposition to the applications for protection by the company was deferred till matters were further developed. ,-v Mr'Fagan, tho secretary of the Union, informs' the "Inangahua" Times" in answer to its charges, that his salary waa cut down from th© date ot the kick-out, and he will only accept lockout pay. No lock-out pay has yet been grven,.but preparations for paying out are how' being made. .
