RANGIORA.
, There was a good attendance at the Rangiora markets yesterday. The stock entry was about 5000 sheep, of which 3000 wero fat, 200 cattle, and 150 pigs. Prices were: —Fat lambs los 6d to 17s 4d, medium. 13s 6d to 14s 6d; fat ewes 9s Gd to 10s, fat wethers .16s Id to 18s Id; a good yarding of stores and good demand for prime ewes from 14s Id to 18s -id; older and inferior 8s 6d to 12s 6d, store wethers 13s to 14s, forward storo lambs 13s, backward sorts 8s Gd to 10s 3d. - Cattle:—Fat steers £8 15s, springing heifers £4 14s 6d to £7 2s 6d, fat cows £4 7s 6d to £6 lOs. springing cows £5 to £9 2s 6d, 18-nionths' steers and heifers £3 10s, calves 28s. Pigs :—Baconers 50s to 60s, porkers 38s to 455, stores 20s to 40s, small pigs 10s to 16s. In the produce yards prices were:— Woolly sheepskins ss, pelts 3s 3d, lambskins 2s 3d, calfskins 2s, hides od lb. fat ljd, horsehair Is id, fleece wool 7Jd. pieces sd. (Poultry:—Roosters 3s to 8s 6d couple, hens 2s 3d. pullets 3s Cd, ducks ss. geese 0s 4d. Chickwheat 3s 9d bushel, oats 2s, sharps Bs'9d sack, bran 5s 6d, pig meal lis, oatsheaf chaff 3s. straw do. Is 3d, potatoes 3d lb, plums lid lb, onions Id lb, apples 2s 6d case, peas 2s.
