AUCKLAND GENERAL LABOURERS.
A SYMPATHETIC UNION.

WELLINGTON, Ma.en IS. Tho Waterside Workers' Union was addressed to-day by Mr P. Webb, president, of tho Federation of Labour, and Mr R. Ross, editor of the V'Maorilahd Worker," on the aspect, of labour in Auckland. About UUO were present, and tho following motion was carried:—"That this meeting of watersido workers has every conndenco in tho executive of tho New Zealand Federation of Labour, and approves of its action in regard to tho Auckland General Labourers' dispute. Further, we condemn tho despotic attitude adopted by the Auckland Mayor and City Councillors and other employers in refusing to meet tho Federation of Labour to discuss tho points in dispnte, and wo pledge ourselves to stand firm by our affiliated comrades, tho General Labourers' Uniou of Auckland, if called upon to do so, and that it be an instruction to our secretary to communicate with all local eocretaries, .and arrango for meotings of protest and united action."
