The five-year-old bay celding Gangway, by Castashore—Stephanie, was offered-at auction at TattersalPs horse bazaar on Saturday, but no bid was forthcoming.
A London cablegram reports that Captain Dearst. of the 21st Lancers has Hven the British Board of Agriculture £10,000 for the carrying out of the Mcndelinn experiments- in improving the breed of steeplechasers.
