The deceased was a well-known Auckland horseman, and during the past few seasons has ridden with a considerable amount of success in the North Icland. For the "season ending on the 31st July, 1911, Whitakor was Fecond on the Hpt of winning horsemen in New Zealand, scoring 77 wins, and in the 1909-10 season ho was eighth on the list with 08 wins.
