SATURDAY'S MARKETS.
Horses —There was an entry of 70 horsos at Tattersall's horse bazaar on Saturday. On account of «i southern client 14 draughts brought up to £34. On account of Mr A. Newport a Hnleish fie brought £35 10s, and a harness pony £10 10s. On account of Mr John Greig a brown pony fetched £14. On account of Mr J. Bundy, Lyttelton. 3 draught marcs brought up to £24. Other prices were as follows: — Up to £36 for draughts; up to £16 for hacks and harness horses. . Pigs—There was a fair entry of pigs and a good sale. Suckers and weaners brought 11s 6d to 17s 6d; stores 18s to 255. A line of porkers was sold up to 445. Tho whole of the entry was sold. Poultry—There, was a good entry and prices were well up to'lnto rates. Table chickens 4s 6d to 7s Id; hens Is 6d to 3s 8d; young roosters (small) 2s 2d to 3s 10d; millets 3s to 8s: duckn 3s 7d to 6s 4d; geese os to 63 6d; turkeys 8s to 16s, all at per pair.
