THE BATTLESHIP MAINE
REMOVED FROM HAVANA HARBOUR. United Press Association—By Klectrio Telegraph—Copyright. (Received March 18th, 12.55 a.m.) HAVANA, March 17. The American battleship Maine, which was wrecked by an explosion in Havana Harbour, was raised and towed to deep water and sunk amid the thunder of saluting guns. The dead wero removed from the wreck, borne through tho streets, placed aboard battleships, and conveyed to Washington.
