West Christehurch defeated St. Albans by 56 runs. Tho winners scored 97 (Hayes 23, James 19, Nixon 11); Moor and Lamb taking tho wickets for St. Albans, who replied with 41 (Moore 12). Unwin and Nixon bowled best for West Christehurch.
Waltham defeated Normal at Lancaster Park, by 4 wickets and 122 runs The chief scorers for tho winners wero H. Bealo 71, Besley 30 not out, and Fowke 15 not. out. Tho bowling honours wero shared by J. McCracken and Besley. Addington batting against Woolston, mado 134 (Johnson 49, Smith 36, McFadane 18). Rhind took 10 wickets, including the hat trick. Woolston icplied with 38, Johnson and Smith taxing the wickets.
A match was played on Friday afternoon on the V.M.C.A. Grounds, !>etween a team from the H. B. Irving Theatrical Company and tho Chnstchureh Veterans, tho game ending in a draw. Tho Theatrical team scored 158 for nine wickets (Rix 39, retired, Fuller 21, Wood 21, Fannell 20, Bain 25). tho Veterans replying with lof) tor seven wickets (McNae 2S, retired, Armstrong 32, retired, Barrett 24, retired, Hubbard 17, Brittan 14, Jewell 11). Polleg and Beerban bowled best for the Company, and McNae, Armstrong, and Alpo for the Veterans.
