(rscsa Assocrz :on TKUccnAM.) -. DUNEDIN, March 2.. Speaking at a social tendered to him at Dunedin last night. Mi- Douglas, who contested the Dunedin North seat'at the recent election, said that ho was extremely proud to know that thoso men who went to Parliament pledged to a certain course of action t and tlisn discovered that, they had been mistaken, had bad the backbone to turn round and vote' tho ri_ht way. If the honours fell on Mr T. Mackenzie, then he could safely say that tho Liberal Party was doomed. It was impossible for the Labour Party to ally itself with tho freeholder, and he hoped that tho honours of the leadership would fail upon Mr Millar.
