VISITORS FROM URUGUAY.
« ; (special to "tpk tress"). IHJNEDIN, February 27. The Uruguayan Commissioners reached Dunedin this morning by the first express from Inyercargill. They did not break their northward journey here, but durinc the time the express waited, several of the party held conversation with a "Star" reporter. The youthfulness of the members of the Commission was the first thine to impress the interviewer; after youtbfulness came courtesy and a charming manner. The eldest of the party is only 26 years of age. The Commission left Monte Video in June last on their trip, which is to occupy a year. They first visited Europe, where they gathered a valuable store of knowledge in the "United Kingdom, France, Germany. Holland, Denmark, Belgium. Switzerland, Italy, and Spain. Canada was al°o visited. In New Zealand they will bo practically the guests of the Government. •They have associated with them Mr J. Duncan of the Agricultural Department. Their journey to the north will bo broken at Timnru to-day. From Tiujaru they will motor to Christchurch right throw2h the heart of the famous plains. Lincoln College will be visited in addition to private farms, freezing works, and so on. After a stay of a few days in Christchurch. they proceed to tho North Island. == i
