.4, BURGLAR AND RESIDENT. United Press Ataociation—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received February 26ih, 9 p.m.) SYDNEY, February 26. Several daring burglaries have occurred in the city recently. This morning Mr Thompson, a resident of Randwick, discovered a man in his bedroom, and fired two shots as the intruder was escaping The burglar called out that he was shot. While Mr Thompson was standing on the balcony several shots were fired at him, none of which took effect. The burglar escaped with considerable loot.
