•Tho annua) distribution of prizes took place on Friday afternoon at the West Melton School, when there was a large attendance of parents and friends. Mr Calder, the chairman, took the opportunity of presenting Miss Ormandy with a silver candlestick from the children. Games and sports wcto successfully arranged by the committee, and afternoon tea was provided' by the ladies. Every scholar received a class prize. Special prizes were presented aa follows: Dux: Roger Squire. Diligence: Frank Carter. Attendance: Margaret Campbell and Roger Squire, first-class; Percy Hill, Clarence Hill, Gordon Hill, second-class. Proficiency certificates were presented to Frank Carter, Gordon Fincham, David Fincham, Roger -Squire. Competency certificate: Margaret Campbell.
