WHARENUI SCHOOL.
Tho annual distribution of prizes took place at the school on Thursday afternoon, 21st December. The Eev. J. do B. G-alwey, chairman of the school committee, addressed the children, and then prizes were distributed.' After, tho prizes had been distributed, Mabel Edginton, on behalf of the senior pnpibi, presented Mr Alley with a Thermos flask nad a collar-box as a mark of their appreciation for tho interest ho had taken in thedr welfare. Cheers were then given for tho teach-! in_ staff and committee. Prizes wero given as follows: — Standard VL—Willie Edginton and Bewi Alley (equal) 1, Richaid Graveaton 3, Gladys Eaton 4, Willie Edginton and Annie McLean, master's special prizes.
