THE MISUSE OF ELOQUENCE.
TO THE EDITOR OF "THE PBESS." Sir,—Having been out of town for the election, I was anxious to learn the views of tbo candidates for my electorate, and went to Carlton bridge on Saturday night to hear Mr liitt. I was much disappointed, as I never heard so many cunningly devised statements to mak'o his opponent appear jn a, wrong light, or such an attempt to place false is&ucs beforo the electors. Truly the gift of eloquence is vary dangerous when bestowed on such a man, who cerv tamly will not havo my vote—Yours, etc.. CHRISTCHOHOH NORTH.
