CASUALTIES.

An inquest was held on Saturday evening, by Mr H. W. Bishop, -District Coroner, concerning the death of a young man • named Charles Edwin Hobson, 22 years of ago, residing with his parents" at 74 llandolph street, "WooJsion. John Cbllinson Hobson, engineer, father of the deceased, gave, evidence. His son was 22 years of age, and.had been unwell for some time. Ho had never been strong, and from thirteen toeeventeen Lad been.subject to epileptic fits. Deceased, had been of eteady habits, -but on election nights had been the worse for liquor; witness believed for the first'time in. his life! On Saturday afternoon at about 2.40 deceased went to the room. They heard a noise there and went in to find that deceased had shot himself with a double-barrelled pun. • Apparently ho had lain down on tho bed before firing. , --' .
