The weekly stock market, hold at i tho Tinwald yards yesterday, was only! moderately attended. Tho entry showed j an increase of 789 sheep on last week's j total principally stores. The total entry Comprised 3801 sheep, of which 367 were fat ewes, 258 fat wethers. ,22 fat lambs, and 2454 stores. A large number of the sheep yarded in the. fat pens, were only forward stores, and prices for these showed a slight decrease on the previous week's prices, but prime quality sold well up to market rates, and there was fairly keen competition, ewes making up to 17s 2d. wethers to 20s 3d, and lambs to 16s id. Prices obtained were as follows: — Prime butchers' ewes, 12s 3d to los; extra heavy. 16s 4<i to 17s 2d; medium quality, 10s to lis lOd; light weights, 9s to *9s 6d.
