At a meeting of tho Drainage Board last night a letter waa read from the chairman of the King George Memorial Home for Incurable Consumptives asking the Board to make a subscription to tho farad. Mr Otley moved, Mr Staples seconded:—That £50 be voted. This was agreed to. *
The Christchurch Fire Board last night deckled that it could not contribute towards the Coronation Memorial Home Fund, as it had no funds available for that pnrpose. In tho list of subscriptions to the Mayor's fund for the Coronation memorial, published by us yesterday morning, the snm of £5 6s wae acknowledged from "T. H. Geo."
