AUSTRALIAN MINISTERS' VIEWS OF THE TREATY.

Holman, Acting-Premier of New South Wales, considers that the Anglo-Japanese Treaty effectually disposes of the "yellow peril" scare, which he personally regards as without foundation. He says he trusts that venomous journals will cease attempting to stir up international hostility. MELBOURNE, July 18. Mr W. M. Hughes, Acting-Prime Minister of tho Commonwealth, declares that tho Treaty is a most significant factor in tho Empire's defence problem. Ho hopes that the scope of the arbitration treaties will bo extended to cover other countries.
