Buyers are prepared to sell themselves, body and check, for ai\s~ thi-r-g like a good line, but voters aro holding for higher prices. Socialistic buyers are in the market with tempting offers of social equality for all, as summarised by Gilbert.: — "Tho coble Lord who hunta and ehoots, Th» noble Lord who banks with Coaus, Iho 110W0 Lord -who cleans tho boots, 'llicy all -kail oqual be. For every ono wo hopo to find Some job congenial to bis mind. And no ono shall bo Mt behind, And nil shall equal be.' Bid up, gentlemen, we want shorter hours and more pay, increased pensions, two holidays on full pay per week, in addition to thoso at present on the Statute Book, an all-round increase of 5 ocr cent, in wages, and other things too numerous to mention. —Yours, etc., -_.-_- WORKING MAN.
