LODGE MEETINGS.
The half-yearly meeting of the "Lily of Richmond" Lodge of Druids was held in the lodge room on Wednesday evening, when ...there was a good attendance. The balance-sheet for the half-year showed tho funds to be in a satisfactory state. Two new members were initiated. Tho election of officers resulted a.s follows :—A.D., Bro. Ta&ker;. V.A.D., Bro. Jacob Pierson; secretary, Bro.C,Carpenter: treasurer, Bro. Currie; M.S., Bro. Jackson; 1.G., Bro. Young". 0.G., Bro. Alexander; A.D.B.'s Bro. Peterson and Elstob; V.A.B.'s, Bro. Appleyard and Clark. The, officers were installed by the D.P., Bro. Barnes, assisted by P.A., Bro. R. Carpenter. A hearty, vote of thanks was accorded to tho instaliius officers and also to the visitors.
•Tho fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Riccartou Lodge was held in tho library Upper Riccarton on Thursday, N.G. Bro. Geo. Green presiding. Ono newmember was proposed. Correspondence was received in regard to taking part in Coronation procession, and. also attending the unveiling of a memorial to the late Bro. T. Kent. It was decided-to take, part in both events. P.G. Bro. Bucknell reported on-behalf..of-the'building committee that the ■new lodge room was nearinc completion. He proposed that the new lodge, be opened with a dedication ceremony on" Friday next, the founders of the lodgo to conduct the service, and also that all Manchester Unity Lodge members be invited to attend". A strong committee was elected to "arrange for an opening social at an early date. : ' .
