DRUNKENNESS.
Two first offenders for drunkenness were each fined os, in default 2-1 hours' imprisonment. 11>LE AXJ> DISORDERLY. Josephine- Webb, alias Milldove, was charged with being an idle and disorderly person, in that sho had insufficient lawful means of support. A sentence of two months' imprisonment was imposed. AX OLD OFFENDER. Mary Blue, alias Crawford, alias Gray, a very old offender, was charged with being a prostitute, and with havins importuned passengers in Tutim street; she was further charged wit li being an incorrigible rogue, in that .she had insufficient lawful means of support, and had been convicted previously as a rogue and vagabond. Accused was ordered to como up for sentence when called upon, nrovided that sho remained in the Samaritan Home for sis months.. A few minutes later it was announced that her sentence had been altered to one of six months' imprisonment, as sho had decided that sho would not 20 to the Homo. , ,
BY-LAW BREACHES.. For cycling on a- footpath Herbert Moyna and Charles Hack wero each fined Is and costs. For riding a bicycle which had not a bell attached, Thomas Codling Mas fined 5s and costs. For tho same offence, Arthur Charles King was fined 7s 6d and casts. For cycling at night without a light, Leonard Rhind was fined os and costs.
