CRITICAL SITUATION AT FEZ
A SUCCESSFUL MARCH
(Received April 27th. 11.15 p.m.) TANGIER. April 27. At the Government's instance, owing to the critical situation at Fez, Colonel Bremond, without awaiting a convoy of money, food, and ammunition from Alcazar, retreated towards Fez with his Moorish troops, pushing through the Uledjumma country. Colonel Bremond reports that the French instrnctoi-a are in good health, and adds that although his niahalla fought with much discipline and decision, the tribesmen from the Sherarda country were bolder, being animated by anti-foreign sentiment. They intend massacring all falling into their hands. Colonel Monier. three weeks hence, will have 23,000 troops at Casablanca.
