PAPAR.UA. Tiro ordinary meeting of tho Paparua County Council was held on Tuesday, Mr fJL. Witty, M.P., prcs.ding, and all tho members, being P"* ent Ine reports of the Finance and Water-race Committees were received and adopted It was decided not to accept «"Y « the tenders received for the freehold properties of tho Council., Upset S* wero fixed for the various properties, and the matter left in the Lids of Messrs Witty P-terson, and the clerk. A Works Committee, consisting of Messrs Carr, McCarthy Paterson, and Witty, was set up. It was decided to convene a meeting ot delegates from the adjacent counties to discuss the question of tho destruction of small birds, so that if possible a nniform scheme might bo. f ormulatea. Six applications wero received for the position of poiinrlkcoper at Ttaldhurst, and it was decided to write to each applicant, giving full details as to duties, etc., and to ask for further information. Mr William Gallagher of Prebbleton, was appointed ranger tor the county for three months, and it was decided to advertise for tenders for the collection of dog fees.
