SOUTHBRIDGE.

A meeting of the Southbridgc District High School Committee was held on Monday. Present —Revs. H. G. Hawkins (chairman) and R. W. Jackson, Dr. Withers, and Messrs J. C. Free, M. Curran, E. G. Hubbard, and R. B. B. Willis. The headmaster reported as follows: —Attendance—Secondary department: Number of attendances 1*233, times open 48, average attendance 25.6, weekly roll 31.; primary department: Number of attendances 6500, times open 48, average attendance 135.4, weekly roll 150. The master suggested that the school should close on the 23rd inst. for five weeks' holiday.
