As a result of conflicting statements, Mr Degrut, a prominent metallurgist, has been appointed to examine and report on the Chaffinch mine.
The Minister of Mines, replying to requests by various Stock Exchanges for Departmental examination of the property, declared that as there had been no development, such an investigation was unnecessary. Besides, thero were many reputable experts available to furnish a reliable report.
