REPORTS WANTED

MELBOURNE, December 6
Owing to the adverse report on the Great Chaffinch mine in Western Australia, there lias been a heavy slump in shares. A Stock Exchange meeting discussed the situation, and sent an urgent cable to the West Australian Minister of Mines, asking, for the sake of the good reputation of mining, that a strict investigation should b© made into the conflicting Chaffinch reports.
