REEFTON, Deoember 5. The following are the Reefton dredging returns-— Pactolus, 350z 14dwt for 120 hours; Worksop, 28oz 14dwt for 126 hours. The mine manager for the St. George Gold Mining Company, in the Big River district, reports that a payable reef of four feet solid gold bearing quartz has been struck m the low level tunnel. This is 450 feet below the surface, and the same line of reef outcrops 600 feet north of the present working.
