AN AUSTRALIAN LADY'S SUCCESS.

TIMARU, December 5
Miss Dufaur, an Australian lady, accompanied by two guides, returned yesterday to the Hermitage, after having made the ascent of Mt. Cook.
Miss Dufaur is tho first lady to conquer this mountain. She made the asoent in 6 hours 20 minutes from the bivouac.
