(Before Mr V. G. Day, S.M.) At the Afehburtoii Magistrate's Court yesterday, Michard Sneddon and F. J. Milton (Mr F. S. Wilding) were each fined 11)5 and costs for driving a motorcar across the Aehburtoii traffic bridgo at a greater speed than six miles an hour. George Taylor was fined os and 7s costs for riding a bicycle on a footpath. . George Grice, for driving a vehicle on tho wrong side of the road, to the obstruction of two cycliste, was fined 20s and 7s costs. Thomas Young, on a charge of keeping his shop open after the statutory closing time, was fined 20s and 7s ecsts. A statutory first offender was fined 5s on a charge of drunkenness. Patrick Cronin, for whom Mr Buchanan appeared, was charged, with for-gc-ry, theft of a dhß.fT.e, and false pretences. On the application of Mr Buchanan, a remand was granted for a week. In the case of Healing and Co. (Mr Weston) v. V. C. Ikidcs (Mr F. S. Wilding) and F. C. Robertson (Mr Buchanan), claim £154. evidence was taken with respect to the partnership of the defendants, and the case adjourned for a week.
