ARRIVAL AT PORT CHALMEItS.

FINAL DEPARTURE AT 2.30 THIS AFTERNOON.

(special to "the tress.") DUNEDIN, November 28. Definite arrangements have born made, for the- Terra Nova's send-oif to-morrow afternoon. The chairman and members of the Harbour Board have invited the chairmen of puulic bodies and tho respective Mayors to join the tug Plucky at Port, Chalmers. The Plucky will accompany the Terra Nova to sea, and reiurn about 0 p.m. It is the intention of the Yacht Club to muster all the boats that can attend at Port Chalmers to-morrow, and take part in the send-off. Colonel Smyth, Commanding Officer of the Otago "district," will accompany the Terra Nova as far as the Heads. The Lady Roberts ivill be in commission, leaving Dunedin about noon and all officers (in uniform) and iheir wives, are invited to attend. The Terra Nova is timed to leave at 2.35 p.m. The Mayor of Port Chalmers announces that arrangements have been made to observe to-morrow (Tuesday) afternoon, as the half-holiday this week at Port Chalmers. This will enable tho people of Port Chalmers to witness the departure of tho Terra Nova. One hundred and thirty-two sweaters, or two for each, made in the Ros]yn mills, have been presented to the members of tho expedition. They are all of pure New Zealand wool. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELECmA.II.) DUNEDIN, November 28. Captain and Mrs Scott, with Dr. and Mrs Wilson, were tho guests of Mr W. A. Moore, at Mornington, and. were present at a ball given by Mrs Edmond in honour of tho expedition. Captain and Mrs Scott and Dr. and Mrs Wilson left for Dunedin yesterday morning by the first express, a number of their friends seeing them off at the station. Jn the course of a brief chat with a reporter. Captain Scott exX>ressed his gratification with the manner in which matters connected with tho expedition had gone so far. "Everytiling," he remarked, "has gone like clockwork." Mrs Scott returns to this city by the first express on Thursday, and leaves by tho Ulimaroa the same evening for Sydney, where she will be the guest of Lady Pooro until her departure for England by tho Morea on December 17th. Mrs Scott will spend a fortnight in Egypt and continue her journey to London in the Mooltan. As the date of the return of the British Antarctic expedition is uncertain Mm Scott's present intentions are not to return to New Zealand.
