Mrs Ernest Firth will give a vocal recital in tho Durham street Methodist Church tomorrow evening.
The evening ceremony in connection with the Ashburton Go-operative Dairy Factory Compauy will take place next Saturday.
In connection with the East Licit VVesloy Church a bazaar is being held oil Thursday and Friday next in the interests of" missions and the SundaySchool building fund. Improved accommodation is urgently needed for the infants' cla.ss and the young men's Bible class. Tho bazaar will be opened at 3 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, and will be continued in the evening and on Friday evening at 7 p.m. 'ho new hand rotunda at Suraner will be. opened by the Mayor (Mr E. Dcnhani) on Thursday evening, when a popular programme will be given by the leading Christchurch bands. A spoci.il meeting of the Sydenham iJ'irge.sses' Association will be held tonight in tic Sydenham Library, to consider matters connected with the municipal elections.
