The monthly meeting of the Kangiora Borough Council was held on .Friday evening. Present:—The .Mayor (Mr A. ]$. Blackett), Councillors Jennings, Sansom, Bell, Carmichael, Walker, Bridget, and (iood. The .striking of th- , rate for the gasworks loan ot £2oO') was confirmed. The linaucial statement for the month :—Receipts, £70 5s Id ; expenditure. i'Gl 8s (3d; debit balance at bank, £7G3 Kss Del. Gas account: — Receipts, £123 4s; expenditure, £03 Os o<l. It iva.s decided to procure a supply ot dog col la r<3 for next year. The extension at the gas works necessitating the erection of a coal storage house, it ■was decided to proceed with the work.
