GENERAL CONFERENCE PROJECTED.

Following the conference between Mr Askwith and the miners' leaders, a general conference is projected to deal with the whole situation. Meanwhile the Executive of the Miners' Federation of South Wales is imposing a levy of one shilling per month, in aid of the Cambrian strikers. No help, however, will be given to the men of Powell Duffryn. The pumps at the Britannic Colliery have been restarted under police protection. There was some excitement over the arrival of three hundred men of the Fusiliers.
