ALTERATION OF THE CONSTITUTION. United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, October 28. In the House of Representatives Mr Hughes's amendment to the Alteration of the Constitution Bill was carried by 29 to 1(3, after an animated debate. A clause giving the Commonwealth Government power to deal with combinations and monopolies with relation to production, manufacture or supply of goods or services, was also carried, and the Bill reported. (Received Octob.r 29th, 1.5 a.m./ MELBOURNE, October 29. In the House of Representatives the Constitution Alteration Bill passed its third reading.
