THE EARL OF STAMFORD

LONDON, May 24. The death is reported of the Earl of Stamford, aged 60 years.
The late Lord Stamford was keenly interested in religious, philanthropic, and social work, being a vice-president of the Royal Free Hospital, Bible Society, and Church Building Society. Ho wag formerly chairman of the Charity Organisation Society, and was a member of the Metropolitan Asylums Board, Queen Victoria Clergy Fund, and Colonial Bishoprics Fund.
