SCHOOL COMMITTEES.
At the last meeting of the Woolston School Committee it was decided to observe June 3rd (King's Birthday) as a public holiday, instead of May 24th. It" ■was resolved-to wind up the penny savings bank, as recommended by tlic householders, and to call a meeting of ladies in order to form a guild in connection with the school. Messrs W. It.'' Smith, Gatehouse, and Crawford were appointed delegates to the School Committees' Association. The headmaster reported the roll number to be 515, and the average attendance 507.
