ENTHUSIASTIC RECEPTION AT GREYMOUTH.
(press association telegram.) GKBY3IOUTH, May 24. Sir Joseph G. Ward arrived from Cbristch'irch this evening, aiid was accorded a Bjost enthusiastic reception.' Tbo railway station platform was crowded with people, and all the representatives of the local bodies were present. The Mayor extended a hearty welcome to the Prime Minister, and throe cheers were given. Sir Joseph Ward acknowledged the warm and hearty welcome, and said he was pleased to bo again on the Coast. As tho Prime Minister's carriage left the railway station, the large crowd ohecred him. Arrangements are being made in all tho towns on the- Coast to entertain Sir Joseph Ward. He will unveil tho Sfrddon Memorial to-morrow, and special trains will be run. All the schools in the Grey and Westland districts will be closed! for the day, andl tho cadets and volunteers will take part in the ceremony. Sir Joseph Ward will leave tho Coast on Saturday morning.
