WOODEND.
The funeral of Private R. H. Borland, aged nineteen, son of Mr It. Borland, of Woodend, took place on Wednesday, at St. Barnabas Church Cemetery. Tho officers and men of tho Rangiora Territorials and Cadets of the High School and the Rangiorn. postal staff, with which the deceased was connected, attended, as well as a largo number of tho public who sympathised with the bereaved parents. Tho burial ceremony was conducted by tho Rev. J. Holland. The firing party discharged three vollies over the grave, and tho bugler sounded the "Last Post."
