FIFTH GRADE
Northern A defeated Northern B by 49 points to nil. For the .winners (Waite 4, Jackson 3, Jewell 2, Lisle 1, Brosnan 1) Evans convened 8 tries. Mr Garton was referee. After a one-sided game Sydenham defeated Eastern by 28 points to- nil. For Svdenham Thornton (2), McLean (2), Rubino (1), Hutching (1), Wather (1), Watt (1), scored tries, Watt and Guy converting one each. Mr Allard efficiently controlled the game. Avon "playing three men short, defeated Opawa by 38 points to nil. Sir Menzies was referee. After a very even game, Waltham drew with."Western at Lancaster Park, each skle scoring a- try- For Waltham, Clemens scored a try, and Hood did likewise for Western. Mr W. Menzies was referee.
