The Manawatu A. and P. Association is jar ranging an exhibit in connection with mechanical milking which will be the most effective thing of the kind ever seen (says the "Sew Zealand Times'')* In a building adjoining the big produce hall there- is being built a substantial.staging; about a foot off the ground, oh Which sufficient cows can be stalled to enable five milking machine plants to be-in operation at the one time. The public will bo accommodated on raised seats at tbe rear of the stalls, so that all those present will bo able to view in comfort tho unique spectacle of five milking machines in operation at the one time. The demonstrations will take place at stated hours, and a small charge will bo made for admission to the hall in order that overcrowding may not take place, and that nothing may occur to prevent the smooth working of the display.
