CASUALTIES.
Mr Robert Millar, farmer, met with an accident on Friday afternoon whilst driving home from Methven. He met Messrs Cleave Bros.' traction engine on thc road, which seemed to frighten the horse, and resulted in the gig being capsized, and Mr Millar and another man being thrown out. Both shafts of the conveyance were broken, and Mr Millar got a very severe shaking. -
A young man named Martin Horan, aged 26' years, was found on the side of the road near Southbridge on Friday night in a state of colla-*»e. He e-pired shortly after being driven home A doctor having attended Koran recently, it is thought that an inquest will be unnecessary.
