AUSTRALIAN PRODUCTIVENESS.
AN APPRECIATIVE VISITOR. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, December 22. Sir Albert Sniccr, during his recent visit to tho Commonwealth with the Imperial Chambers of Commerce delegates, was greatly struck by Australia's enormous production, the people's energy and resourcefulness, and the active assistance given by tho Governments' in fostering industries in their early stages. The active eo-opcra-tion between Chambers of Commerce and the Stat* Governments was highly praised. Australians, said Sir Albert, wero very cosmopolitan buyers, and liked to have the British article, but they must have what they wanted. He* believed that Australia, as a nation, was quite willing to give a small preference, but ns individuals not so much, as they ou'.y bought tho cheapest and most suitable articles.
