MELBOURNE CONFLAGRATIONS.
MELBOURNE. December 21. A fire swept a hlock of thirty weatherboard dwelling and shops in Vordon Park and Hallway streets Wiiiiamstown. The flames spmui with tremendous rapidity, and the occupants, mostly workmen, saved very little. There were sonic narrow escapes. The damage is estimated at from £10,iRj<J to £12,000. Another fire destroyed the Children's Convalescent Home at Hampton.
