GENERAL WEATHER SUMMARY.
The following is the Key. D. C. Bates s weather summary and forecast: —The barometer has fallen everywhere, slowly m the north, but considerably in the southern districts. Northerly gales are now reported in Foveaux Strait and on the East Coast of the South Island. Moderate to strong easterly winds prevail elsewhere. The weather has been wnrm, humid and cloudy, and showery in parts. The present indications are for a falling barometer everywhere. Insettled and cloudy weather, with rain, aro prol>abl_ everywhere, and thunderstorms in parts, especially to-morrow evening. Northerly winds, strong to gale, are probable generally.
