The Domain Board has decided to recommend that the piece of ground near the hospital, known as No. 2 root- i bali ground, be levelled and prepared for tennis courts. A card and billiard tournament among members of the Fire Brigade, for prizes given by Mr R. H. Walker, has just been concluded. The winner for the billiards was Mr G. F. Humphreys with ten points handicap, Mr James Coates being second with twentyfive points. Each won all games played, the only points against them being for unplayed' games. 'Mr A. Miller won the card tournament, Mr W. McCracken coming second, after playing off a tie with Mr H. D Bettger.
