After nearly seven weeks' tlry weather a splendid rain commenced on Thursday evening anel continued <lurinj* tho night and yesterday morning. At the timo of writing (4 p.m.) a light rain was falling. The moisture wis urgently r<"qniretl for pastures, turnips, rape, etc., and will considerably im prove tho prospects for winter feed.
