WIRE NETTING INCIDENT.
Advices have been received that tho Privy Council refused the application of tho New South Wales Government far leave to appeal against the decision of the High Court, which decided that tho Commonwealth hael tho power to pay State imports. Tho application arose out of the famous seizure of wiro netting imported by tho State. The seizure was mode during Sir Joseph Carruthers' Premiership, anel was carried out in tie fiance of the Customs.
