SWIMMING.
4 The boys and girls of the Richmond Public School are vicing with each other this season to see which can obtain the most certificates for proficiency in swimming. At present the following applications havo been sent in to the Swimming Association from this school: —One mile, 2 __irL% 1 boy; half-mile, G girls, 4 boys; 440 yds, 4 girls, 5 boys: 2'2oyds, 4 girls, 5 boys. At the annua; swimming shorts to-day the Sir Jolui Hall life-savini: team fr«m the schocJ will r_ive an exhibition of resuscitation and life-savins drill, which should be n valuable object lesson to parents and tho children.
