LONPON, March 10. The- wool market is animated: German and French buyers are* operating freely. Merincs and fine cross.t>rcc:.s arc* bringing full prices.
GRAIN AND PRODUCE MARKETS. (BY OVP. COMMERCIAL KDITOR.) Tuesday Evening. The anxiety of some farmers to dispose of their wheat is causing t *» * start threshing from stack while the grain is still sweating The threshing of wheat from stack has this season caused a good deal of trouble in ;U----liverv. through the gram b.n .1 sweated in the bags. Most oi this so trrain has now been dealt with, anu buyers naturally do not want a repetition of the trouble through gram being threshed from stack before it has recovered from the sweating process. The purchase of wheat goes on steadily, and. if anything, prices are just a' shade firmer. Irom os Gd to 3s 7d the latter for Pearl or tor good mixed lines, nro the quotations: but there is now more being bought at 3s 6Jd than at 3s 6d. Oats are without change : a moderate amount of business is passing at quotations. Barley is still dull of sale, the samples on offer being more or less discoloured. Cocksfoot is easier, and buyers are not now stiving more than od for 131b seed, and'down to 4Jd for lllb seed. The undermentioned are the prices paid to farmers, at country stations, free of commission, except where otherwise stated :—■ Milling Wheat—3s 6d to 3s id. cbiekwbeat 3s _tl to 3s 4d. at country •stations.

Cocksfoot —IJd to oil. at country stations. Flour—£lo 10s per ton. Bran—£3 15s local, £3 10s, f.0.b., per ton. Pollard—£6 per ton. Oatmeal — £10 per ton. New Oatsheaf Chaff—£2. at country stations. Onions—£3 ss. Nt country stations. Dairy Produce—Cheese, factory Od, dairy s'.d. loaf cheese OJd : butter, factory 12d: farmers' separator lOibl, dairy O.ld : bacon, sides 7Jrl. rolls 8?d. hams Sd ; honey, extracted 4d per lb. wax Is 2d per lb ; lard (packets) 8d ; fresh eggs 14d per dozen.
