In tho House of Commons, Colonel Seely, in justifying the vote of £47,000 for the Semali'and operations, said tho Government was determined te pursue a cautious defensive policy there. Mr Balfour suggested the building of a road suitable for motor vehicles. The troops needed greater mobility in that part of the world.
